the problem with rules

in the Illumio Adaptive Secuirty Platform, users need to write policy rules to allow communication between workloads in their network. previously they need to write those rules manually by telling the system which workloads can talk to others one by one or a few at a time. they can write rules to secure many at a time but they cannot do that unless they write a very general rule. this can be a very lengthy and time consuming process and for some users, weeks to months. i was put to the task of designing a workflow to utilize scripts which would analyze the current traffic and provide policy rules to allow secure communication across the network.
